Flowers and Plants

Estimated Reading Time: 2 minutes

There are so many different Flowers and Plants in the world where do you begin to photograph them. I started in my garden when I tested my new camera some years ago. Over time I spread my wings and traveled taking landscapes and the Flowers and Plants that lived in the environment. I have a gallery here which is a selection I have photographed. Some you see everywhere others only live in a specific environment.

What is so amazing is the the variety. Bright colours that mean you cant miss the flower, to subtle shades which blend into the background. This is in natural light. Inspects see things differently and maybe the answer is in infra red light. Its not here that you will see that. Here I will celebrate Flowers and Plants in natural light.

You can capture photos of flowers almost everywhere. This is very haphazard and if you want a good day out taking flowers and plants I suggest you take the time to visit one of many gardens you will find in your home area, or on vacation. I am lucky to have a couple very close to my home.

I like to try and capture the flower against a soft focus background and focus on the petals.

You will see a selection below. You can use the tags to see more based on the colours.

There are some local photographs of flowers in my blog. For example in Villennes, and poppies.

Some of these flowers were taken at the garden featured in my blog post about zooming.

There is also a post about the flowers in my garden in May. There are other landscape photos here.
